Cellulite Reduction
The Aesthetic Laser Treatment Center is the only facility in Rhode Island to offer
LaserDermologySM using the Cynosure TriActiveTM System, the only laser FDA approved
for cellulite treatment. The non-invasive, pain-free treatments work by softening the
hardened bands of connective tissue under the skin that squeeze fatty pockets upward to
form the dimpling in cellulite.

The causes of cellulite are a combination of heredity, female hormones and poor
circulation, which cause connective tissue fibers under the skin to lose elasticity and
harden. The result: skin tightens and can no longer expand normally. This squeezes fat
cells through the fibers unevenly, causing a "honey comb" of small lumps and bumps.

Benefits
Our TriActive laser safely minimizes cellulite and firms skin on legs, stomach and arms.
The laser, suction and massage components work with your lymphatic drainage system
to stimulate microcirculation and establish normal distances between fat cells and blood
vessels, thus reducing the appearance of cellulite.

Areas to be treated
Both men and women can be treated with the TriActiveTM to reduce the appearance of
cellulite.  Besides the thighs and buttocks for cellulite, most other parts of the body can
be treated as well:

(i.e love-handles, stomach, upper arms, neck)

Frequently Asked Questions
How does the TriActive work?
The handheld TriActive devise attacks cellulite in three ways: low-energy laser light
penetrates the skin, enhancing blood circulation and softening the connective tissue;
deep-tissue massage stimulates blood flow and drainage; and a cooling effect shrinks fat
cells and lessens swelling.

Is it painful?
The procedure is not painful and not even as strenuous as a traditional massage, most
individuals report that it "just feels great!"

How soon will I notice results?
Individual results can depend on several factors: the area being treated, whether
treatment is combined with another procedure, diet and exercise, your age, and general
condition, and the number of treatments. In some cases it may take up to 6 to 10
treatments before you start to see significant results and maintenance is required once a
month after desired results.

How many treatments are recommended?
To get the best results, a total of 13-16 treatments are recommended. Treatments twice
a week in the beginning and once a week after about 6-7 sessions will provide quicker
results. In addition to a healthy and active lifestyle, maintenance treatments are
recommended on a continual month-to-month basis.

Is it really effective?
Clinical researchers report seeing up to a 40% reduction in cellulite after eight treatments.
Additional treatments provide even better results.
