What does laser facial skin tightening do?
Laser tightening uses laser heat to build up layers of collagen in the dermis (adipose layer) of
the skin to improve the overall texture and tone of your skin. With continuous treatments,
you can safely and effectively reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.
How often will I need treatments and how many treatments in total?
It is recommended to have treatments every 3 to 4 weeks up to 6 treatments. Maintenance
treatments are recommended depending on the severity of the facial lines and how quickly
your skin returns to its natural state.
Nonablative resurfacing techniques are well suited for patients who request rejuvenating
treatments of the aging face. Regardless of the laser type, improvements in fine lines,
wrinkles, and photodamaged skin are subtle and gradual.
What is the treatment process?
The technician or assistant will apply a topical anesthetic cream to the area treated, with a
waiting period of 30-40 minutes. The area to be treated will be divided into sections with
three passes total. The cooling system will provide additional relief during the entire
procedure. A slight redness will occur for a couple of hours after the treatment, however,
there is no real down-time associated with this treatment. Clients are cautioned to remain out
of the sun three days before and after a laser treatment.
